Last year was monumental—a year of tremendous growth, big lessons, and a lot of figuring things out. But it was also a year of scattered energy. I found myself pulled in multiple directions, trying to do all the things, only to realize I was losing sight of what mattered most.
This year, our focus has shifted. We’ve chosen to refine, realign, and simplify. And in doing so, we’re seeing just how powerful clarity and focus can be. I wanted to share what this means for us—and hopefully, inspire you to think about where your own focus is leading you.
The Power of Prioritizing What Works
One of the most important lessons I learned last year is this: direct communication with your audience reaps real results.
I’ve seen firsthand how email marketing has created deeper, more meaningful connections with our community. It’s not as flashy or immediate as social media, but it’s reliable, personal, and impactful. And here’s the thing: it’s a foundation we own.
If you’ve never considered building an email list, or if it feels overwhelming, I get it. That’s why I’m creating a resource to help you get started. No matter where you are in your journey, I want to guide you through this process. Because when you invest in the right things, the results will follow.
Simplifying and Realigning
This year, I’m also focusing on something that feels incredibly freeing: decluttering and simplifying.
For too long, I followed advice from mentors and peers—people I respected, but whose approaches didn’t always align with my values or vision. It’s easy to get caught up in what others say you should do. But here’s the truth: not all advice is meant for you.
I recently came across a quote that stopped me in my tracks:
“You don’t see the world as it is—you see the world as you are.”
Isn’t that powerful? It reminded me to trust my own instincts. No one knows your goals, your vision, or your path better than you. You already know how to lead yourself to success—you just have to listen to that inner voice and trust the process.
For me, that’s meant focusing on the backend of our business:
• Simplifying systems.
• Letting go of distractions.
• Realigning every decision with what truly matters.
It might not sound “sexy,” but it’s where the magic happens.
Building on a Foundation You Own
One of the biggest changes we’ve made is shifting our focus away from social media as the primary platform for growth. While it’s a fantastic tool, it’s also unpredictable. Algorithms change. Platforms evolve. And as we’ve seen with recent bans, entire apps can face temporary shutdowns overnight.
That’s why we’re focusing on platforms we own:
• Email Marketing: It gives us direct access to our audience.
• Paid Ads: A new avenue for growth we’re excited to explore.
• Streamlined Systems: Simplified processes that drive real results.
Social media will always play a role, but it’s no longer our foundation. If your business relies solely on it, I encourage you to think about how you can diversify. Build something stable. Build something that’s yours.
A Word of Encouragement
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or unsure about where to start, take a moment to pause. Reflect on what’s working, what’s not, and what truly matters.
Ask yourself:
• What could I simplify?
• Where can I realign?
• What’s worth focusing on?
Trust your instincts. You don’t need to do it all. You don’t need to follow everyone else’s blueprint. Your path to success is unique, and you already have what it takes to navigate it.
Here’s to a year of focus, clarity, and building what matters most.
